We have on many occasions pulled through long lengths of Fibre cabling into ducting throughout underground networks. Cable pulling can consist of Fibre Cabling, Data/Copper Cabling and sub-ducting. The most popular choice of cable installation for us has be Fibre.
These cable pulls are for companies such as BT and Virgin as well as private companies on their own property.
We have looked after many Fibre pull and terminations for business parks around Warwickshire, where new buildings are introduced and branch offs are needed or building are linked back into the main Fibre ring.
We use the many different tools such as Rods, Pulling Grips, Cable Rollers, Cable Drums, Petrol Powered Hydraulic Pulling Winches, Ducting Tools and Cable lubricants. Our team are equipped and knowledgeable on installing your cable runs – we can pull the cabling through, terminate and provide you test results.
We will initially carry out a full survey to access cable routes, cable lengths and look over any plans which the client may have. At this point if ducting is exists – we will rod all routes to prove ducting is fine to accept cables and ensure problems or collapses along the route.
If ducting is not installed we are able to have any type and size of ducting installed including access chambers. Our civils team have carried out many new installations as well as emergency repairs.
There are many types of ducts installed throughout the UK, the most common size of duct we come across is 100mm in size and flexible. We have also installed sub-ducting which allows the separation of newly installed Fibre cables, it also allows us to easily install the cable rather than it being tangled with other cables within the duct. Sub-ducting is usually 50mm in size.
Let us call you back regarding this service…
Blown fibre is a process of fibre cabling blown through ducting pipe using compressed air. The core benefits of blown fibre is that it is very quick to install and is cost effective. Blown cables typically begin at 24 cores and go up to 244. Cables have special coatings on them to allow them to travel along the ducting without interruptions.
